About DRDO:
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) (IAST: Raks Ansandhn Evam Viks Sangahan) is the premier agency under the Department of Defence Research and Development in the Ministry of Defence of the Government of India, charged with military research and development, headquartered in Delhi, India. The Defence Science Organisation merged with the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production of the Indian Ordnance Factories in 1958 to form it. Following that, the Defence Research and Development Service (DRDS) was established in 1979 as a service of Group ‘A’ Officers / Scientists directly under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence.
DRDO is India’s largest and most diverse research organisation, with a network of 52 laboratories engaged in developing defence technologies in fields such as aeronautics, armaments, electronics, land combat engineering, life sciences, materials, missiles, and naval systems. The DRDS has approximately 5,000 scientists and approximately 25,000 other subordinate scientific, technical, and supporting personnel.
Academic Qualification:
Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B. Com degree who graduated in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022 are eligible to apply. Candidates who took the qualifying exam prior to 2018 are ineligible.
