The ‘NAVRATNA’ Central Public Sector Enterprise invites online applications for Graduate/Diploma/Trade Apprentice positions. There are a total of 955 open positions for these positions. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/ITI degree are eligible to apply for this position. Academic performance will be used to make the selection. About NLC:
Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) is a government of Navaratna enterprise. It was founded in 1956 and inaugurated by the country’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. In India, it is the fossil fuel mining sector and thermal power generation. It manually extracts approximately 30 million tonnes of lignite from openca mines at Neyveli. This lignite is used to generate electricity at the pithead thermal power station.
Academic qualifications:
- Engineering Graduate Apprentices in Category I: A full-time degree in engineering or technology from a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
- A full-time degree in engineering or technology granted by an institution authorised to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament in the relevant discipline.
- Graduate examinations of professional bodies (full-time) recognised by the state or central governments as equivalent to the above.
Non-engineering Graduate Apprentices in Category II: –
- A Degree in Non-Engineering (Full-Time) from a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
- A degree in non-engineering (full-time) granted by an institution authorised to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament in the relevant discipline.
- Non-engineering graduate examinations of professional bodies (full time) recognised by the state or central governments as equivalent to the above.
Technician III (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A diploma in engineering or technology (full-time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
- A full-time diploma in engineering or technology from a relevant university.
- A full-time diploma in engineering and technology awarded by an institution recognised by the state or central governments as equivalent to the above.
Category-IV Trade Apprentice:
ITI in relevant Trade from NCVT/DGET or COPA (NTC/PNTC Certificate)
Other Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam in 2020, 2021, or 2022.
- Candidates should not have completed or be completing Apprenticeship Training at NLCIL or elsewhere.
- Candidates should not have more than a year of experience in any job.
- Candidates must be PAPs’ wards.

- Trade Apprentices can earn up to Rs. 10,019 per month.
- Non-Engineering Apprentices are paid Rs.12524 per month.

- Apprenticeships for Non-Engineering Graduates – Rs.12524/Month
- Apprentice Technician (Diploma) – Rs.12524/Month
NLC Recruitment 2022 Selection Process: For Engineering, selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Diploma/Degree, and for Non-Engineering, selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in all subjects in XII Std. (HSc.,) examinations.
